Australia Set of 4 Silver coins $1 Year of the Horse 2014 Series II Lunar

The lovely rare set of silver one-dollar commemorative coins made by the Australian Mint celebrates the 2014 as the Year of the Horse. The set comes in a beautiful demonstration case; each coin placed in a transparent capsule to avoid any possible damage. The set collected four second Lunar series coins with a similar design. Two Horses are shown on the reverse of each coin, the animals are watering surrounded by the landscape in a Chinese painting manner. Next to their bodies there are Chinese character for “Horse” and the name of the year in English scripted. The set consists of two entirely silver coins, one coin with gilded horses on it and one coin bearing the colorized image of the horses. Three items from the set have Brilliant UNC grade which means the coins were not circulated. The fourth one (monochrome) was struck with Proof technology providing superior quality of coinage and appearance. The obverse of each coin features the profile of Her Majesty in her recent times designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. It also explains the denomination, the weight and the silver rate of the coin, the year of issue and the country of issue.
