Supersonic airliner Concorde is the subject of this silver proof coin issued by Alderney in 2008 on the eve of the 5th Anniversary of its very first flight. The jet made its first flight in 1969 and was used in regular commercial transportation since 1976 till 2003. Concorde was used by Britain and France, for transatlantic flights in particular.
